Life Really Does Get in The Way

March 7th, 2010 · No Comments

I know, I know, I’ve been terrible at getting stuff posted. What can I say, other than what I’ve already said in the past; life gets in the way at times.
Things have been a bit hectic lately and as a result some things have been suffering. That includes my time to write any [...]

November 29th, 2009 · No Comments

Okay, I know that is an oxymoron, but bear with me here for a second or two and let me explain.
In working on this training plan Shelly got me from Runners World, one of the things that it makes you do is run at a pace slower than normal based on the info that you [...]

Hard Down!

September 27th, 2009 · No Comments

Well, this was a baaaad week for training!
I was looking forward to tapering up after the Devil’s Challenge and continue on my training plan for my 15k at the end of October. But, it seems a small microscopic virus decided to get in my way.

Another Finish!

September 28th, 2008 · No Comments

And it was a sweet finish at that; a very, very rough race, but an oh so sweet finish!
First off, sorry for the absence the last 2 weeks. The weekend of the race was travel and last weekend the computer was hard down due to viruses and mal-ware. It’s all cleaned up now and I’m [...]

The Finish Line!

July 27th, 2008 · No Comments

Yup, I crossed it! And all goals where meet and then some.
Goal one of course was not to drown and as you can see from this I managed to pull that one off. Although that whole swimming in the lake and in a crowd thing is tougher than it seems.
For starters they forgot [...]

I Did It!

July 13th, 2008 · No Comments

Okay; technically it was a duathlon and not a triathlon, but I still finished.
And even with the added run in place of the swim I still finished in the time that I was hoping to. My official time was 1:57:57 which gave me 2 minutes and 2 seconds to spare.
Had there been a swim [...]

The Pain and Joy of Another Week!

May 18th, 2008 · No Comments

Well this week had a few low points and a few high points.
I managed to make sure that I stayed very well hydrated during Tri-Fit this past week. But that did not mean that I stayed injury free from it.
The weather was nice, so for the run portion we ran outside. This weeks [...]

It Was a Baaaaad Week!

It didn’t start too bad and was actually supposed to be some what of an off week since we are between Tri-Fit sessions.
Monday I had a great swim workout. Tuesday I had another awesome run workout and I am now happy to say that I can get a 5k training run done in about [...]

I’m Starting to See Some Progress

April 13th, 2008 · No Comments

Okay, so I’m going to keep it short and sweet this week. But first, I apologize for no post last week. My hard drive decided that it was going to start to die and I had to focus all my time on that. Like making sure that everything was properly backed up, [...]

The Road: Start Walking, Start Losing!

April 5th, 2008 · No Comments

It’s mid May 2007; I’m overweight, out of shape and it’s time to do something about it! About 2 years ago I had been walking a lot, almost every day to be exact and I was starting to get in shape. But then I lost my walking partner (we lost our dog Venus [...]
