Life Can Get in The Way!

March 23rd, 2008 · No Comments

Well, it was a very bad week as far as workouts go. Life did nothing but get in the way all week.

It was extremely busy at work, so I ended up working through lunch all week. As well as stayed a late most nights as well.

Add to that the fact that I slept in a little later than I wanted to and the morning walks got wiped out.

And if all that wasn’t bad enough, on Thursday afternoon I had a dentist appointment.

Now for most people that wouldn’t have been a big a problem. But then I’m not most people. I need to do the sedation dentistry. No big deal; I do the sedation, it’s early enough in the day that I just sleep it off and then go to my Tri-Fit class.

Not so much. Shelly tried to wake me before she left with no luck. So she went on her own.

I did wake up when she got home. The sedation medication still hadn’t wore off yet, so while I know that I stayed up for a little while and watched TV with here. I have no idea what we watched or what we talked about. That is some good medication, but I missed another workout.

The visit to the dentist was a walk in the park. Okay, more like a stagger in the park or at least that’s what Shelly tells. I don’t care since I don’t remember any of it and that’s the whole point.

Oh yeah, and to top off the week we had another record snow fall on Friday. All day long on Friday which messed up my back and took care of Saturday’s workout plans.

And today of course was Easter which meant a family gathering. And lots of eating, although I tried to behave myself as much as possible, but I’m guessing that didn’t help my weight at all. And since today’s weight in was the same as last weeks, I really need to step it up a bit.

Next week I vow to do a whole lot better about everything. In fact, I already have the gym bag packed and ready to go. One way or another I will work in some time to hit the pool tomorrow afternoon.

Later,
John W.
