Slowly Getting Back Into Things

January 25th, 2008 · No Comments

Well, here I am 3 weeks into the Tri-Fit class and slowly getting back into the whole rhythm of things.

I’m still not getting to the gym as much as I’d like to each week, or getting in as many workouts; it has been just too darn cold for one thing. But I am at least getting a few workouts in besides just the Tri-Fit class.

And of course, weather permitting, me and the girls are still getting our morning walks in as well.

But other than that, I’m having a hard time finding my mojo right now.

I have my big race for the year picked out; the one that I want to put everything into and try for the best time that I can. But that isn’t until the end of July (the Tri-ing for Children’s race which was my true first Tri).

So I think that I need to check out the race schedule and find one in the beginning of June that I can use as a motivator.

Of course Shelly does already have me committed to doing an Olympic distance which should be some pretty good motivation right there.

I think all I really need is a little bit better weather. I’m already getting sick of the treadmill.

On a positive note, I did get a 5.5 mile run in last weekend. So I’m almost up to the 10k distance that I need to reach.

Later,
John W.
